Sutton Scotney Victoria Hall

at the heart of our community

Welcome to Victoria Hall

Serving our local community since 1897.  If you are unfamiliar with our lovely hall then we invite you to call in to see us and our many and varied activities.  Great days to visit are the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month when we hold Community Cafes in aid of local charities.  From Parents, Grandparents and Carers with Toddlers right through the ages to our Sunshine Club we have something for everyone.  We welcome bookings for private parties, weddings and business meetings.  New for 2025 - you can now book onlne and pay by credit card.

HOLY TRINITY POP UP CAFE IS HERE ON WEDNESDAY 2ND APRIL FROM 09:30 UNTIL 12:00

This month we are raising funds for another very worthy cause - Blue Apple Theatre

Performing arts at the heart of the Hampshire community
Founded in 2005 by Jane and Tommy Jessop and based in Winchester, Blue Apple is an inspirational and ambitious theatrical company that supports learning disabled performers to develop and present high quality productions to the widest possible audiences – performing and touring theatre, dance and film within a variety of large and small scale venues around Hampshire and the southern regions, as well as nationally and internationally.

Blue Apple run performing arts classes across Hampshire and online.

Our team of bakers are already planning for the event and we will be sure to offer you our usual fabulous selection of homemade cakes, cookies and savoury treats.  It will be another great social occasion.  We hope to see you!

SUTTON SCOTNEY COMMUNITY CAFE IS SUPPORTING WINCHESTER TALKING NEWSPAPERS

WEDNESDAY 16TH APRIL 09:30 UNTIL 12:00

Blind and partially sighted people have access to national and regional news through radio and television but they can miss out on their really local news.

A weekly recording of extracts from the Hampshire Chronicle can provide a link for those in the Winchester area who are less able to see. We also record a monthly magazine, a miscellany of articles chosen from other popular publications.

The recordings are available free of charge to any blind or partially sighted person – and postage is free for sending them back to us. You will also be supplied, free of charge, a player for playing  the 'memory sticks' we send you.

The cost of producing these recordings is covered by fund raising and donations.

Our bakers are already planning for the day and you can be assured of the usual display of yumminess (maybe a new word) with homemade cakes, cookies and gluten free options.  Freshy brewed teas and coffees complete the line up.

It's sure to be a great social occasion and we hope to once again welcome some Breeze cyclists!

We are well placed to host Business Meetings due to our proximity to the M3/A34 and A303.  Please check out our Business Meetings page.

We are also an ideal venue of parties of all kinds.  Children love the space to enjoy themselves and there's room for a bouncy castle too.  Children's entertainers especially like performing here.

We have plenty of Saturdays and Sundays available.  You can check up to the minute availability in our Bookings Diary.  For further details please email victoriahallbookings@gmail.com

In the heart of the Hampshire countryside but close to the A34 and A303 The Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney is available for hire for wedding receptions, birthday parties, business meetings, promotions and more. We have our own car park right in front of the hall.

The hall really is at the centre of our community with a wide range of activities to suit all ages and interests.  All groups offer a warm welcome to new members.  Please explore our activities and events.  You never know what you'll find!
