Holy Trinity Cafe (The Pop-up Café)

The Pop-up Café at the Victoria Hall on the first Wednesday of each month from 9.30am to 12pm is warm and welcoming opportunity to meet neighbours and friends and to top up on fresh coffee and plenty of cake!

Proud of our reputation for offering homemade cakes, cookies, bakes and savouries, we have popular ‘regulars’ on the menu such as Dorset apple cake, coffee and walnut cake,  and pear & marzipan cake, but we also enjoy baking a great variety of other delights, and there’s generally something new on offer each month. We have dairy free and gluten free options too.

Since it started in 2017 the café has been run by volunteers from Holy Trinity Church, which is the parish church for Sutton Scotney and Wonston.

From low-key beginnings the café has become a popular monthly event, and attracts people from Sutton Scotney and the surrounding area, plus walkers, cyclists and some hardworking local employees pop-in occasionally for a takeaway box of cakes and a drink! Seating is spread throughout the Hall, and there are tables outside too if the weather permits.

All money raised at the café is donated to a different charity each month, and we are proud that in 2024 a total of £4043 was raised for 11 worthwhile and varied charities, all thanks to donations from our generous visitors.

The café accepts cash and card payments.

For details of café dates, and charities being supported, please see the West Dever news magazine, also the Sutton Scotney Facebook group, and of course the Victoria Hall website.
